Letter Writing Marathon for Human Rights!

Amnesty International will be holding a letter writing marathon at the cafe on December 10, World Human Rights Day.

Come drop by and write a letter or two for those facing unfair imprisonment, discrimination, torture and intimidation. We will have plenty of background information for each case, and all writing materials will be supplied. Choose to lobby the government on their behalf or to write letters of support to the prisoners themselves!

Letter writing works! Be a part of a successful campaign. By highlighting individual cases, we can shed light on greater systemic injustices. Each year this campaign makes real change world wide for improved policies and practices for freedom of speech, protection for activists and respect for universal human rights to all.

Bilingual! All ages welcome! Free coffee and tea for letter writers.
